OAK PARK COALITION FOR

Chicago Area Peace Fair 2006

"The Powers of Peace!"

Sat. Sept. 9, 2006, Noon – 5:00 p.m.
Scoville Park, Oak Park, IL

In 2005 the Oak Park Coalition for Truth and Justice (OPCTJ), working with other peace and justice groups, organized the first annual Chicago area Peace Fair; and it was a great event. Organizations from throughout the Chicago area set up 60 booths, nearly 3,000 people attended, and the entertainment was outstanding.  Read about last year's Peace Fair: "Peace Fair Draws Thousands!"

The second annual Chicago area Peace Fair will be held on September 9, 2006 from 12 to 5 pm at Oak Park’s Scoville Park. The Fair will have booths for participating organizations and a stage for performing artists and speakers. A positive vision of Peace - not just the absence of war - is still the issue. This year our theme is "The Powers of Peace."
